Our Service Infrastructure
As an independent advisory firm, we choose the service providers that best uphold our standards of excellence. They do not manufacture their own investment products, so there is no potential conflict of interest. We identify investment choices for each portfolio using our fact-based approach. Once the choices are made, our service providers take care of the trade executions, tax and performance reporting, and regulatory requirements.
Pershing
Pershing, a Bank of New York (BNY) Mellon company, is the custodian for our clients’ assets. As custodian, they physically hold equities and bonds, settle purchases and sales, and provide reporting on asset status and tax compliance. Pershing provides the financial infrastructure for us to conduct business on behalf of our clients. With 23 offices worldwide, Pershing has delivered innovative services for more than 75 years and manages $1.5 trillion in global client assets. Founded in 1784 by Alexander Hamilton, the Bank of New York provided the United States government with its first loan in 1789. Today, BNY Mellon is one of the largest financial institutions in the world. As a vital part of the international financial system, BNY Mellon adheres to a higher level of liquidity and capitalization requirements and stricter regulation than most banks.
